Community Information: Painting

Why is the Painting taking so long? - The painting was agreed to be paid for over 4 years at the AGM in 2016. We have paid almost 3 years (2016, 2017 & 2018) with 1 years remaining 2019. Once these payments are complete everyone would have paid they agreed amount.

Why is my property not painted yet? - Of course there will be areas that are not painted at the moment. We have 2 years remaining and we can only paint as money is received.

Has the painting stopped? On the 5th April 2018 we re-started with the painting (starting with Penthouses 15& 16) and all remaining properties will be painted over the following year and La Isla in 2020

What is the Painting Procedure ?

-Cleaning. Wire brush/abrasive pad (no pressure washing as this introduces moisture in to wall surface and invalidates the warranty)

-Fixative on ledges.

-1st coat of paint mixed with fixative as instructed by the paint manufacturer, Pinturas Pinay.

-2nd direct coat as instructed by the paint manufacturer

The 2nd coat of paint is applied once the 1st is dry. Which has to be a day later

So on the first day, the 1st coat with fixative, and on the next day, the 2nd (finishing) coat.

The planned schedule is:
