News: Notification from the Health Authorities
Yesterday the Urban Entity received a notification from the Health Authorities, due to the inspection visit carried out by an official of the Environmental Health Service, on the 3rd of September 2024, in response to a neighbour's complaint about the ornamental lake. In this notification, the Urban Entity is urged to maintain the lake in suitable conditions at all times of the year, to prevent it from being a breeding ground for vectors, such as rodents or mosquitoes, which could compromise the health of its inhabitants, and also urged to urgently carry out the necessary actions to solve this problem.
Today a response to this notification has been received, indicating that the Urban Entity of Condado de Alhama held a General Assembly on the morning of 19 September 2024 in which, in view of the complexity of the matter, an agreement was adopted to contract two specialised companies to study the problem of the lake as soon as possible and to offer the best solutions for its correct treatment, in coordination with the technicians of Alhama de Murcia Town Council. The Urban Entity, after the adoption of the aforementioned agreement, with the greatest possible speed, on the evening of 19 September 2024, formalised the perfection of the contracts with these companies. Therefore, as soon as a precise diagnosis and the best solution is available, the recommended measures will be adopted.
NOTIFICATION RECEIVED:
“On the occasion of the inspection visit carried out by an official of the Environmental Health Service on 3 September 2024 (report C 60093), in response to a neighbour's complaint about the ornamental lake, located in the Condado de Alhama urbanisation, the presence of nauseating odours incompatible with well-being, derived from its inadequate maintenance, was confirmed.
This action was carried out in the presence of municipal technicians and Mr. Juan Francisco López in his capacity as administrator of Inmho, as the company that administers the Condado de Alhama urban development entity, and the company's maintenance manager, Amalia Murcia.
Taking into account their responsibility for the maintenance of the installation and reminding them that the water in the lake must be kept in suitable conditions at all times of the year, to avoid it becoming a breeding ground for vectors, such as rodents or mosquitoes, which could compromise the health of the inhabitants, they are urged to urgently take the necessary actions to solve this health problem.”
