News: 2024-11 - MONTHLY PLANNING GENERAL GARDENING WORKS

Please find attached the schedule of works for the month of November 2024 and the watering times for the month of November 2024.

INFORMATIVE NOTE:

• It has been decided to establish the irrigation frequency of 2 days/week because during the month of November there is no water supply from the EDAR, and only industrial water continues to be received. At the same time, during the month of November and the following months, the water needs of the plant species will be decreasing.
• This adjustment in the number of days corresponds to a normal schedule to cover the water needs of the grass during the autumn months (November). During the month of November, the water demands of the plant species are lower than during the summer, from May to September, but even so, the water needs are still average or even high, as the lack of rainfall and the high average temperatures cause water stress in the ornamental species.
• The aim is to cover the water needs of the ornamental species that have not been covered during the summer months due to the lack of available irrigation water and to try to restore the vitality of the species (grass, shrubs, palms, trees, etc.) before the arrival of winter.
• At the same time, every morning the irrigation team will check the irrigation system in each of the gardens to see if there are any deficiencies in the irrigation system and repair them, for example, replacing the diffuser emitters or repairing leaks.
• Finally, this change in the irrigation schedule can be modified, either because there is insufficient irrigation water supply at any given time or because there is heavy rainfall and irrigation water does not need to be used to cover the water requirements of the ornamental species.
