RECOMMENDATIONS ON PARKING CARAVANS AND MOTORHOMES ON THE OUTER RING

Dear Residents,

Below, we offer some security tips for the parking of caravans and motorhomes in the car park located on the outside road, which is a public road. The aim of these tips is to minimise the risks of vandalism and keep your vehicle as safe as possible.

Caravans which can be hitched to a vehicle are clearly more vulnerable to theft then motorhomes and therefore owners of caravans are advised to ensure that they undertake as many security measures as possible to protect their caravan from theft from what is a public parking area.

·Choose a safe place to park it

Whenever possible, park in the designated area. It is not inside the protected enclosure but is well lit and there are CCTV cameras nearby that can help visualize incidents. Please note that vehicles weighing more than 3.5 T. are prohibited from parking in this area.

Vehicles that can fit within the lines of a parking space are permitted to be parked within the inner ring area. Please note that the parking zone at the Al Kasar is privately owned. To know the conditions for the parking of large vehicles in the Al Kasar, please contact the owners at activosalkasar@activosalkasar.com

·Always close and lock

Be sure to lock all doors and windows, even if you're only away for a few minutes. Use extra locks or security locks for added protection.

·Install alarms and security devices

Consider installing an intruder alarm, motion sensors, or cameras to your vehicle. Hiding a GPS locator inside the vehicle is also useful to be able to track it in case of theft.

·Don't leave valuables in plain sight

Keep computers, mobiles, wallets, and other valuable items out of sight or, preferably, remove them from the vehicle.

·Make contact with other neighbors

If you are going to leave your caravan or motorhome unattended for an extended time, talking to other trusted neighbors who can check the condition of the caravan or motorhome on a regular basis will help identify any potential issues.

·Use of clamps or wheel steering locks

Placing a clamp on a wheel or a lock on the steering wheel will help to deter thieves and make theft more difficult.

·Keep a copy of your vehicle details

You must keep your vehicle papers with you whenever you drive your vehicle. But it is recommended that you have a digital and physical copy of the vehicle's documentation and write down the chassis number, license plate and distinctive characteristics in case you need to report it stolen.

We wish you a safe ride and safety on the road.
