APPEAL TO AVOID LEFT WING PARTY TAXES FOR WASTE

Fed up with paying taxes, as we know many of you are, and seeing how each year we receive fewer services, not only at the national level, as we are witnessing, but also at the local level, with construction projects that no one understands and a progressive loss of services, while our money ends up financing the whims of Pedro Sánchez and his very particular way of understanding power.
A president who preaches austerity but cruises around in the Falcon jet as if it were his private car, driving around endlessly at everyone's expense.
And as an example of questionable decisions at the local level, €750 a month is allocated for fuel (as is the case with United Left) or councilors receive compensation of more than €1,500 for not even showing up for work, while the garbage collection fee is applied arbitrarily and unfairly to all residents and businesses.
Now comes the next blow: the new garbage collection fee. A tax imposed by Law 7/2022 on Waste and Contaminated Soils for the “circular economy”
The Socialist government insists that “Europe required it.” False. No such obligation existed.
The reality is that a new burden is being imposed on citizens while Spain drifts aimlessly with a president cruising around in a Falcon jet (perhaps because the plane is more environmentally friendly).
The law establishes the “polluter pays” principle, but in practice, the same amount is charged whether you live alone or with five people, whether you generate a lot of waste or almost none. In Alhama, moreover, it is applied arbitrarily: flat rates, per square meter, based on criteria other than the actual amount of waste generated, violating the principle of proportionality established by the law.
At the local level, this situation coincides with spending decisions that raise concerns among residents and are perceived as disconnected from the reality of families, while some local groups applaud these measures without question.
From the People's Party of Alhama de Murcia, we want to offer you an alternative to this tax increase approved by the PSOE, IU, and Sibina parties last July, which you will soon be charged: What can you do?
When you receive the bill, you have 30 days to file an appeal with the City Council.
Yes, they might not respond. Yes, you might have to resort to the administrative courts.
But if we don't appeal and demand transparency, they will proceed as if nothing has happened.
Because this system works like this: the quieter we are, the more taxes they impose on us.
When we raise our voices, things change.
This tax is not green. It's not circular. It's not sustainable.
It's simply another unfair tax, a measure that directly impacts families and demonstrates that local and national management is sometimes disconnected from the reality of the residents.
From the PP Municipal Group in Alhama:
Because someone has to.
