CONDADO DE ALHAMA SECURITY COMMITTEE

OFFICIAL STATEMENT. AUGUST 2026

YOUTH MEETING POINT OF CONDADO DE ALHAMA

Dear residents of Condado de Alhama,

In view of the ongoing problems that have been arising for some time from the improper use of the Youth meeting point of Condado de Alhama, the Security Committee would like to remind people and also provide warnigs about a number of issues:

  1. The Condado de Alhama Youth Point was created to provide young residents of Condado with a place to meet during the night without disturbing the community, especially during peak periods of the year, as there are no suitable places for leisure and recreation during those nighttime hours.
  2. The Youth meeting point was NOT created to organize drinking parties.
  3. The Youth meeting point was not created for its users to vandalize the area, street furniture, community property, or the feeding station for the cat colony located next to it.
  4. The Youth meeting point was not created to leave the area, and lately also the STV collection area, littered with trash, broken alcohol bottles scattered everywhere, broken glass in the community gardens, and on the sidewalks and walkways, etc.
  5. The Youth meeting point wasn't created for rowdy individuals who don't know how to behave, who get drunk and disturb the neighbors, to confront and threaten security personnel or even the Guardia Civil.

Some young people are using social media to "warn and threaten" the Owner’s Community about holding drinking parties elsewhere in Condado if the Youth meeting point is closed. According to some of these young people, they have the right to have fun however they want, even at the expense of the rest of the neighborhood. The music and noise reach the residential areas of Condado, and the Guardia Civil even had to come and break up one of the recent parties because someone had brought a sound system and was playing the music too loudly.

There are also young people who complain that security personnel are constantly intervening in the area to prevent the problem from escalating. In this regard, we must warn all those who believe they have the right to do whatever they please, violating the rules of coexistence in our community, that WE WILL NOT ALLOW A SINGLE THREAT, neither to the community nor to the security personnel, who are here to protect and guarantee our safety and peaceful coexistence.

WE DO NOT WANT PEOPLE WHO VIOLATE THE BASIC RULES OF PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE AND THE LEGAL RULES OF VARIOUS KINDS.

The solution for young people is simple, treat both the youth point and security staff with respect and decency and respect neighbours at all times (including when going home from the Youth Point), and it will remain a suitable place to meet and spend time with friends. However if you continue to treat it and others direspectfully, then it is likely that at some point that facility will no longer be available to use.

The Security Committee will be happy to meet with and listen to any young people who wish to express their concerns in a civil and reasonable manner, respectfully and without threats of any kind. Anyone interested can write to the Security Committee's address to arrange an in-person meeting. security.ops@condadoalhama.com

Parents and guardians of younger children are reminded that alcohol consumption by minors in public or community areas is strictly prohibited. This is not the first time minors have been found consuming alcohol in our streets and community spaces.

Sincerely, and with warm regards.
