News: Information on fumigation on La Isla

Dear residents,

We would like to inform you that a decision was taken yesterday to suspend the fumigation work scheduled for La Isla and postpone it until next week.

This decision was taken primarily out of a sense of responsibility and consideration for local residents. We are aware that this type of treatment may cause concern for some people, particularly in relation to the presence of children and pets, and we felt it appropriate to allow sufficient time for everyone to be informed of the new schedule in advance and to take any preventive measures they deem necessary.

For this reason, we apologise for the delay in communicating the new schedule and thank you for your understanding.

Furthermore, STV has informed us that the plant protection products used in these treatments are regulated by the Ministry of Agriculture and authorised for use in green spaces and are applied in accordance with the relevant regulations and instructions.

It is also important to note that these treatments are carried out based on the presence and progression of the lawn grub, as well as the intensity with which it begins to appear. In this regard, it is necessary to take preventative action at the right time, as waiting until the damage is evident or until a warning is received when the infestation is already advanced may jeopardise the survival and recovery of the lawn.

Therefore, next week treatments will be carried out in those areas where the grubs are detected or where there is a significant risk of their appearance, always in accordance with the established technical guidelines.

Our aim is to protect and maintain the Resort’s green spaces, whilst striving to minimise any inconvenience or concern that this work may cause to residents.
